Frances Julia Woodson Foster, 85, of 141 Sunny Acres Road, Union, SC, entered eternal rest on Thursday evening, April 27, 2017 in Spartanburg Medical Center. A native of Union, SC, she was the widow of Lonnie Foster and daughter of the late Linder Woodson and Anna Lou Watkins Woodson. She was a member of Maple Ridge Baptist Church where sang with the Maple Ridge Musical Choir. She was a former employee of United Merchants Buffalo Mills and Wallace Thomson Hospital. She was a member of the Mary Good Gospel Singers and the Order of the Eastern Star Queen of Sheba Chapter #23. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Annie Lou Woodson Jeter; one brother, Len Woodson, Jr.; one sister, Julia Woodson Jones; one grandson, James Franklin Woodson; and one great granddaughter, Rakia Woodson. Left to cherish her loving memory are four sons, John B. Woodson of the home, Earl Foster, twins, Keith Foster and Kevin Foster all of Union, SC; three daughters, Leathia Talley of Union, SC, Lila Mae Dawkins of Spartanburg, SC, and Mary E. Foster (Roland) Lindsay of Union, SC; one step-son, Willie J. Means of Union, SC; one step-daughter, Sandra A. Foster of Boiling Springs, SC; twenty grandchildren, twenty-eight great grandchildren, twenty-seven great-great grandchildren, and one great-great-great grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family will receive friends at the home. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at Maple Ridge Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.
