Minister Goldie Ferguson Banner, 68, of 420 West Rustling Leaves Lane, Roebuck, SC entered eternal rest May 18, 2017 in Spartanburg Medical Center. A native of Spartanburg County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Franklin Ferguson and Roberta Marie Durrah Ferguson. She was a member of the Promised Land Christian Discipleship Center. She was retired from the SC School for the Deaf and Blind. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by one sister, Rev. Deloris Ferguson Smith. She is survived by three sons, Reeco Banner, Clyde Banner, and David Banner all of Spartanburg, SC; two daughters, Sheretha Speed of Detroit, MI and Kazuko Olive Mauree Banner of Charlotte, NC; twenty grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren; two brothers, Johnell (Cathy) Ferguson of Fostoria, OH, and The Rev. Franklin (Doris) Ferguson of Elgin, SC; two sisters, Eleanor Ferguson Miller of Fostoria, OH and Teena Ferguson Snyder of Okemos, MI; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family will receive friends forty-five minutes prior to the service. Arrangements are with Community Mortuary, 102 Marion Avenue, Spartanburg, SC.
