Samuel Mood, 85, of 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC and formerly of 189 Robinson Road, Jonesville, SC passed, Monday evening, February 12, 2018 in Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. He was born in Ladson, SC to the late Thomas Mood, Sr. and Estelle Payne Mood. Mr. Mood joined Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church at an early age. He was a US Army veteran and attended South Carolina State College. He was retired from Kings OK Tire after thirty-five years of service. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Isaiah Mood, Thomas Mood, Jr., and William Mood and a son-in-law, Jimmy Dean "Bo" Spears. He is survived by two sons, Ronnie Burch of Summerville, SC and Myron Mood of North Charleston, SC; two daughters, Cynthia Spears of Jonesville, SC and Charlene (Keith) Dillard of Boiling Springs, SC; eleven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; one brother, Matthew Mood of Ladson, SC; one sister, Dorothy Lemon of Knightsville, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be held at Hardy Chapel Baptist Church on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at M.J. "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery at 1:00 pm. Arrangements are with Community Mortuary, 102 Marion Avenue, Spartanburg, SC.
