Willie Mae Thompson, 66, of 103 James Court, Spartanburg, SC was born on June 27, 1926. A native of Spartanburg County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Willie James Switzer and Annie Switzer. Willie Mae was a member of Kingdom Builderís Baptist Church where she served as an Usher and President of the Pastorís Aide Ministry. She was an employee of Cantrellís Residential Care. Willie Mae entered eternal rest on Friday morning, April 27, 2018 at Spartanburg Medical Center. She leaves to cherish fond memories to: two brothers, James (Doris) Switzer of Polk County, NC and Nathaniel Switzer of Woodruff, SC; six daughters, Chandra (Rodney) Watson of Roebuck, SC, Cassandra Thompson of Spartanburg, SC, Michell Thompson of Greenville, SC, Wyoming Switzer of Roebuck, SC, Atericia Thompson of Spartanburg, SC, and Keisha Switzer of Roebuck, SC; four sons, Montolla (Margaret) Switzer of Cross Anchor, SC, Toby (Mareka) Switzer of Spartanburg, SC, Lorenzo Thompson, Sr. and Lorenzo Thompson, Jr. of the home; twenty-five grandchildren, Jalisa, Porshia, Tynasha, Brianna, Brandon, Demarlus, Perisha, Nikki, Malik, Quanisha, Keondre, Cedrica, Shameshia, OShay, Kentarious, Keasia, Andrew, Bryson, Brittany, Montaria, Akien, Aniya, Erin, Nakia, Tríe; ten great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and dear friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church with burial to follow in Heritage Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the home of her daughter, Atericia Thompson, 309 Saint James Drive, Spartanburg, SC. Arrangements are with Community Mortuary, 102 Marion Avenue, Spartanburg, SC.
