John Roy Meadow, 94, of 508 Foster Street, Union, SC passed Saturday morning, June 9, 2018 at his residence. A native of Chester, SC he was the son of the late Monroe Meadow and Maude Clark Meadow. He was the owner of Meadow Convenience Store in Union, SC and served in the United States Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Tommie Meadow and William Henry Meadow. Those who remain to cherish his memory, two daughters, Marilyn (James) Kershaw and Cynthia (Chris) Jeter both of Union, SC; four grandchildren, Sanderia Jeter, Kameisha Jeter, Lamarwin Kershaw and Lacretia Kershaw; ten great-grandchildren, X'zavious Means, Jakamron Beaty, Lakenzie Kershaw, Lamarwin Kershaw, Jr., Liam Kershaw, Kaiden Stewart, LaTerrian Fleming, Kali Williford, Kassidi Kershaw and Kennedi Kershaw; one brother, Francis (Carolyn) Meadow of Detroit, MI; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family will receive friends at the home of his daughter, Cynthia Jeter, 119 Marcelus Street, Union, SC. Memorial services will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday June 15, 2018 at Community Mortuary Chapel.
