View Condolences Carole Jean Thompson Edwards, 72, of 141 Dunlap Road, Carlisle, SC passed Saturday morning, February 9, 2019 at her residence. A native of Union County, SC, she was the widow of Lonnie C. Edwards and the daughter of the late James Thompson and Estelle Thompson. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold Thompson and Jim "Bay" Thompson. She attended Carlisle Christian Fellowship Church. She was a graduate of Sims High School and was retired from the former Wallace Thomson Hospital after thirty-five years of service and was a former employee of ResCare HomeCare. She is survived by one daughter, Sharonda Edwards of the home; two grandchildren, Sharmari Edwards and Lonnie Edwards ; one brother, Tommy Hill of Union, SC; two sisters, Maxine (Leroy) Dunlap of Union, SC and Ruth Norman Carter of Baltimore, MD; four brothers-in-law, Clyde Edwards, Charles (Hattie) Edwards, Robert (Josephine) Edwards, Reverend Johnnie (Clista) Edwards; one sister-in-law, Joyce (Charles) Derrick all of Carlisle, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family will receive friends at the home. Arrangements are with Community Mortuary, 361 Meansville Road, Union, SC.
